WALLENBORN Grégoire

 

Grégoire Wallenborn is Senior Researcher at the Institute for Environment Management and Land Planning (IGEAT), part of the DGES-ULB. He holds a doctorate in environmental sciences and degrees in physics and philosophy. He has coordinated numerous interdisciplinary researches with sociologists, engineers, designers, economists, physicists, and also consumer organisations, corporations and consultants.

His fieldwork is mainly constituted by the study of household energy consumption through various aspects: energy conservation devices for households (public policies, demand side management, feedback, ecodesign), social inequalities and energy poverty, scenario building methodologies, rebound effect, user-centred design, smart meters, smart grids, demand response and flexibility, smart cities and energy communities. More generally, he is interested in issues that cross energy, environment, technology and daily life, both through fieldwork observation and theoretical development.
