IGEAT-GAG in a nutshell
The Geoinformation and Applied Geography unit (GAG) is part of the Institut de Gestion de l'Environnement et d'Aménagement du territoire (IGEAT). It brings together around forty researchers from a range of disciplines, who carry out research in two distinct areas: applied geography and geospatial analysis. Several of its members are also heavily involved in teaching activities, in the fields of geography, urban studies, transport and logistics as well as GIS and cartography.

Research
Teaching and training
IGEAT-GAG members are active in a range of teaching programmes, including human geography, urban studies, transport and logistics as well as geographic information systems (GIS) and cartography.
Team
The IGEAT-GAG team is made up of around forty people. While the majority of its members are trained geographers, the team also includes researchers with backgrounds in economics, sociology, history, political science, agronomy and urban studies.
